These were very interesting sites to review! Some very very useful, which is always nice to discover! The first one I went to- SREB Evalu Tech, must have been under construction. It did not pull up, and said test page for ip address. The second website, California Learning Resource Network was very interesting. The objectives for this site Network were to review learning resources like video, software and internet sources, identify learning units aligned to resources and the state academic content standards, and to maintain an interactive website. I noticed where the site had digital textbooks that you could download and research articles! The third website was Superkids Software! I loved all the software that this site had to offer. All of the options seemed educational, and fun! It had a studyx software, where students could create flashcards, study sheets, etc. There was even software for playing the guitar. The fourth site was Education World. This site has everything a teacher needs from lesson plan ideas to tips for professional development. I could see how this site could easliy become my friend.
* I think the Education World site seemes to evaluate the largest number to titles.
* The SuperKids Software site is updated daily and the education world sites copyright was dated 1996-2011. The CLRN seemed pretty up to date as well. It had upcoming events for 2012 listed on it. I would say the site that wasn't up to date was the first one ( SREB Evalu Tech).
* The Superkids site had reviews written about some of the softward, and the CLRN site had memebers, so I'm sure there are reviews there as well.
* I would use the Superkids site to learn about software I was considering for my students.

Web 2.0 Resources
Wow! I feel like I have learned so much about technology just by completing this assignment. My topic I chose to conduct my resources around, was The Water Cycle. Under second grade on the ALEX website, number nine says to describe evaporation, condensation, and precipitation in the water cycle.
The first resource I completed was the concept map using https://bubbl.us/. I was familiar with this assignment because we had already completed a concept map earlier, so I went right to work with creating one about the Water Cycle.
The second resource was http://glogster.com in which I created a glog all about evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. I feel like it took me a while to complete this resource, just because it was so detailed. I really was proud of it when I completed it and began thinking about how I could use it in my future classroom. http://www.glogster.com/megoslegos/evaporation-condensation-and-precipitation-the-water-cycle/g-6lpknjl829d6v5kr7d028jd
The third resource was Animoto. I had never heard of this site before, and was amazed by how user friendly it was. The 30 second video did not take that long to create, and I thought the quality of the video was pretty good too. I added pictures that went through the process of the water cycle and music to the video to make it fun to watch! http://animoto.com/play/6NenZPAN0rZ4HrTTOcjJXQ
I chose to use the site http://bighugelabs.com/ for my free choice resource. I really enjoyed this site and can see how it could be very useful in the classroom. I used three activites from this site. I used the Mosaic Maker, the Jigsaw Puzzle, and the motivation poster. I used the water cycle theme for all of the activites and they all turned out really cute! http://bighugelabs.com/motivator.php

Technology in the Classroom Video
1. How was the technology shown in the video implemented in the classroom?
2. Do you use any of the technology shown in the video in your own classroom?
3. Can you think of some different ways technology can be implemented that were not demonstrated in the video?

Introduction
Hello Class!
My name is Megan Mitchell and I am from Northeast Alabama. I am currently working on my masters in Elementary Education, and can't wait to become a teacher! I do not currently have a job, but am hoping that within the next year or so, I will officially have a classroom. I graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle!) in August 2009 and received a bachelors in science in Elementary Education. I love anything to do with the outdoors and enjoy jogging in my spare time. My new goal is learning to "cook" not just "bake"..haha. I am currently working in an optometrist office and subbing two days a week until the teaching job that the good Lord has in mind for me opens up. I am learning to live every day, one day at a time and not take one second for granted because that is one second you will never be able to get back. I am looking forward to learning so much more about how to apply technology to my future classroom!
